Redgate Cider started in 2014 and we have since been making organic, handcrafted apple cider. What began as a hobby for Gordon Chambers; has grown into a family business with larger yields each year as our orchard matures.
Our 6-acre orchard in Lismacarol, Derry/Londonderry has over 180 varieties of apples, giving our cider its unique, rich flavour. Our medium dry cider is the only cider produced in the Northwest.

Sustainability
At Redgate, we adore our natural environment and understand the importance of protecting it. That's why we are dedicated to doing our part to reduce our carbon footprint. We are constantly planting new trees, so they can act as a carbon sink for local emissions. We have also installed solar panels on our "Cider Shack", where we mill and press our cider.
Our bees are essential for pollination of our apple blossoms, producing a wonderful light honey in the process! But our bees are just one part of the great ecosystem at Lismacarol Orchard. It is thriving with wildlife, a haven for the local bird, rabbit and insect populations.
In line with our eco-conscious ethos, we aim to create as little waste as possible. All of our apple pomace waste is used as animal feed for our own ducks and hens, as well as supplying local farmers for their cattle. And our cider is distributed in fully recyclable packaging.
